    Clarify the real problem

    No vague goals. No “improve UX”. If the problem is unclear, the solution won’t matter.

    Identify the critical decision

    If this is wrong, everything else is noise.

     

  3. 03

    Design the system

    Not screens. Structure, states, and rules. Without this, products don’t scale, they break.

     

  4. 04

    Validate real behavior

    If behavior doesn’t change, nothing else matters. Not opinions. Not feedback. Behavior.

I'm Luis, a Product Designer based in Portugal. When I'm not designing, I'm playing drums or fixing things in my garage.

My work naturally moved from communication design into product over the last 12 years — systems, messy problems, and environments where complexity is real. Payments, platforms, internal tools.

I work close to the problem, early in the process. Understanding constraints, defining the system, shaping the product before it becomes just screens.
